Bnai Israel Congregation is a full service Conservative synagogue serving the greater Wilmington, NC area.
Members reside from Jacksonville,  in the north to Southport in the south, from the ocean in the east to Whiteville,  in the west.
Bnai Israel has a number of ongoing activities and groups that meet on an ongoing basis.

Bnai Israel is a House of Prayer – Beit T’fillah
Services Friday night at 8.00 pm
Shabbat morning  8.30 am On occasion, we offer on extra special Shabbat Eve we call ESP – Early Shabbat Program – this usually includes  a dinner and service beginning at about 7.15 pm.  This service might include the KavaNotes, our choir or other music or perhaps a speaker or discussion. 

Bnai Israel is a House of Study- Beit Sefer
We have a wonderful religious school program that includes Sunday School and a weekday Hebrew school session. On Sunday we ave a new Torah for Tots program for our pre-K children.  Bnai Israel is very proud of its outstanding Bar and Bat Mitzvah training offered by Rabbi Waxman.

Bnai Israel is a House of Meeting – Beit Kenesset
We have been a center of Jewish life in our area for more than 100 years.

Sisterhood –Our very active Sisterhood holds luncheons several times a year, programs with our sister group at the Temple of Israel.  Sisterhood is involved in  fundraising                  events such as the Mah Jongg Tournaments.

Men’s Club – Our group coordinates various activities throughout the year, hosts card nights and social events with Sisterhood.

KavaNotes – Our choral group open to both men & women, performs at Services and special events  both at Bnai Israel and in the Wilmington community

Simcha Players – Rabbi Waxman, on guitar is joined by other  various events and holiday celebrations throughout the year

Library-  We  have a wonderful library maintained by Sisterhood, featuring books by Jewish authors and topics of Jewish  interest.
